The story of
Oi CERAMICS
Oi Ceramics began as a quiet dream.
For a long time, the idea of working with clay gently tugged at me — a quiet whisper beneath the rhythm of everyday life; until five years ago, I finally chose to follow it. What began as a creative outlet gradually unfolded into something much deeper: a rhythm, a ritual, a return to myself.
I’m a mother to two beautiful daughters, and ceramics has woven itself so naturally into our family life. Our studio is often filled with three sets of hands working side by side - little fingers shaping their own creations while I shape mine. Shelves lined with imagination, jars of glazes, music humming softly in the background. In these ordinary, everyday moments, my heart feels full of gratitude.
Oi Ceramics is shaped around that feeling — slow, intentional, joyful — with colour and playfulness woven through each collection. Soft blushes, lilacs, muted speckles and layered tones bring warmth and whimsy.
As my style evolves and I continue to experiment, I’m drawn to depth and texture — surfaces that feel almost fluid, curves that echo nature, taking strong inspiration from forms in the ocean and on the shore. The pieces I am currently dreaming into existence feel as though they’ve been plucked from the ocean floor or gently borrowed from a mermaid’s treasure trove.
Glazes that bloom, flow and pool in puddles of colour like living coral, layering tones as if they are alive. Surfaces hold quiet texture, reminiscent of shells, sea-worn rock, the delicate ridges of an urchin, seaweed drifting beneath the surface and catching the light of the sun through shimmering waters.
Shaped by movement, depth and time.
Each piece is hand-built, embracing imperfect lines, dimples, fingerprints and gentle asymmetry. I love seeing the artist imprinted in the clay — and I want each piece to feel alive, touched, human.
Oi Ceramics is about elevating the everyday.
Morning coffee. Shared meals. Chaos and colour. A quiet moment at dusk.
Handmade pieces for homes filled with love, warmth, colour, and little bit of magic.
